HI!
My name is Julia, I am an architect and a researcher. Currently I am a master degree student at Wismar University (Germany), conduct academic research and work remotely for Tel Aviv (Israel).
I specialise in digital and cognitive urbanism and study the relationship between digital spaces and the urban fabric.
During my university years I began developing design concepts that are driven by a bottom-up generation of urban life. This is being manifested in my professional life by working on several cognitive urban master plans creating a link between the planned city and the unexpected individual.
In my academic work, as a research and teaching assistant at Shenkar College of Engineering, Design and Art, I focus on parametric and systematic design patterns, digital fabrication, and the effect of our culture of mass customisation on the way in which we design.
In the recent few years, while working at Gutman Assif Architects, I have won several national awards for cognitive masterplan proposals. One of them, the industrial neighbourhood Bizeron in east Tel Aviv, is currently in development stages.
Now, while at Wismar University, I work as an academic research assistant, exploring the digitalisation of various architectural processes.
